Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea Gains Another Labor Union Under Her Belt In Assembly Race
Plumbers, Pipefitters, Pipeliners, and HVACR Technicians (UA) Local 246, which represents over 600 tradeworkers in the Central Valley, has officially endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea's District 31 campaign.
For over 100 years, UA Local 246 has championed the working families of the Central Valley, fighting to ensure their members have the benefits and opportunities needed to build strong, stable communities that last for generations. Their endorsement highlights Perea's dedication to advocating for the union workers who form the backbone of Central Valley communities.
“I’m honored to receive the support of UA Local 246,” said Perea. “Their highly skilled members pour their expertise into the work that shapes the communities we all call home. I will continue to fight for good-paying union jobs and the working families who keep the Central Valley moving forward.”
Plumbers, Pipefitters, Pipeliners and HVACR Technicians UA Local 246’s endorsement joins the ever-growing list of labor unions supporting Perea’s campaign such as Iron Workers 155, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades: District Council 16, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and more.
Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand affordable housing, invest in public safety, and strengthen workforce development programs. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and opportunity for every family.
