Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur Endorses Annalisa Perea for Assembly

Respected legislative leader backs Fresno City Councilmember’s bid for Assembly District 31

Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea has earned the endorsement of California State Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, a widely respected leader in the Legislature and a longtime advocate for working families across the state. The endorsement underscores Perea’s proven leadership and readiness to represent the Central Valley in the State Assembly.

Assemblymember Zbur cited Perea’s record of collaboration, clarity, and results as the foundation for his support.  “I’ve followed Annalisa Perea’s work for years, and we’ve stood shoulder to shoulder on the same issues that matter to California families,” said Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur. “She brings clarity, conviction, and real results to everything she takes on. I have no doubt she will be an exceptional leader in the State Assembly.”

Councilmember Perea expressed deep appreciation for the endorsement and highlighted the importance of standing alongside trusted leaders who understand the challenges facing the Central Valley. “I am so honored to have the endorsement of Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, a staunch leader I’ve had the privilege to stand alongside on issues that shape our Central Valley,” said Perea. “Assemblymember Zbur’s leadership and commitment to delivering real solutions for working families inspires my own work, and I’m grateful for his support.”

Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council and was elected Council President in 2024. A lifelong Central Valley resident and certified city planner, Perea has built her career around delivering practical solutions for working families, strengthening communities, and ensuring government works better for the people it serves.
