Fresno City Councilmember Receives Local LGBTQ+ Democratic Club Endorsement for State Assembly District 31

Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea is officially endorsed by the Fresno Stonewall Democrats.

The Fresno Stonewall Democrats is an organization dedicated to advancing the equality of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. Their endorsement highlights Perea’s commitment to uplifting and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

“I am deeply grateful to have earned the endorsement of the Fresno Stonewall Democrats. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I've always understood how important visibility, representation, and safety are, especially in spaces where decisions are made about our lives,” said Councilmember Perea. “I will prioritize protecting civil rights, safeguarding reproductive freedom, and advancing LGBTQ+ equality statewide to ensure every Californian is treated with dignity and has the opportunity to succeed.”

During her time on the Fresno City Council, Councilmember Perea has worked to expand safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, championed Pride celebrations that uplift and honor the Central Valley's diverse community, and fought to strengthen city protections against discrimination in housing, employment, and public services.

Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand affordable housing, invest in public safety, and strengthen workforce development programs. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and opportunity for every family.
