National Women’s Political Caucus Endorses Annalisa Perea for State Assembly

The National Women’s Political Caucus, a leading organization dedicated to advancing women in elected office, has officially endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea for Assembly District 31. Their endorsement reflects a shared commitment to women's rights and underscores her qualifications as a strong leader in this race.

“I am honored to be endorsed by the National Women’s Political Caucus,” said Councilmember Perea. “Their commitment to breaking down systemic barriers and fighting poverty is a mission I share. Together, we will continue working to empower and uplift women across District 31.”

Councilmember Perea has been a fierce advocate for women's rights, championing city funding for the Black Doula Network to expand access to doula services for Black women, and securing critical funding for Fresno's local domestic violence shelter. Perea is also spearheading a childcare stipend program to make quality childcare more affordable and accessible for working families because she believes that supporting women means ensuring they have the resources, safety, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand affordable housing, invest in public safety, and strengthen workforce development programs. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and opportunity for every family.
