Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea Gains Another Large Labor Union Under Her Belt In Assembly Race
The California Federation of Labor Unions (CFLU), representing 2.3 million union workers across the state, has officially endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea's District 31 campaign.
"The California Federation of Labor Unions, AFL-CIO is proud to endorse Councilmember Annalisa Perea for Assembly District 31,” said CFLU President, Lorena Gonzalez. “She has always shown up for working families in the Central Valley, fighting for good jobs, fair wages, and the issues that matter most to the people who keep our communities running. We know she will continue to champion their cause, and we are proud to support her campaign."
CFLU joins a growing list of labor unions supporting Perea’s campaign such as Iron Workers 155, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades: District Council 16, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), UA Local 246 and more.
“I’m honored to receive the support of California Federation of Labor Unions,” said Perea. “Their work to protect workers and strengthen the middle class is invaluable to our state. I look forward to their partnership as we work together toward better pay, safer working conditions, and an economy that works for every family in the Central Valley.”
Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand affordable housing, invest in public safety, and strengthen workforce development programs. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and opportunity for every family.
