LiUNA Endorses Annalisa Perea for State Assembly

California's Laborers' International Union backs Perea's fight for working families in AD-31

The California State Council of Laborers, representing over 75,000 members of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA), has endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea for Assembly District 31, citing her devotion to working people and her unwavering commitment to act in the best interest of California communities.

LiUNA is one of North America's most powerful labor organizations, advocating for working families on issues ranging from job safety and fair wages to infrastructure investment and community development.

"I am proud to have the support of the State Council of Laborers and the members they represent," said AD-31 Candidate Annalisa Perea. "Every Valley family deserves the chance to build a life they are proud of. That means affordable housing people can actually live in, good-paying jobs that support a family, and opportunities that build upon each other in our communities.”

The endorsement represents the growing support for labor backing Perea’s campaign for the State Assembly. She has built strong coalitions in this race, drawing support from labor, women's organizations, and community leaders, including CAL FIRE Local 2881, SEIU California, the California Federation of Labor Unions, California Latino Legislative Caucus, National Women's Political Caucus, and California Federation of Teachers.

Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council and was elected Council President in 2024. A lifelong Central Valley resident and certified city planner, she has dedicated her career to strengthening communities, supporting working families, and delivering real results for the people of the Valley.
