Trujillo cites Perea’s deep community roots and proven record of delivering for the Central Valley.
FRESNO, CA – Selma City Councilmember John Trujillo has endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea for State Assembly District 31, joining a growing coalition of local leaders backing her campaign.
Councilmember Trujillo highlighted Perea’s strong connection to the region and dedication to public service. “Annalisa has earned the trust of so many across the Valley because she puts in the work and delivers real results,” said Trujillo. “She understands our communities because she’s from here and she’s never forgotten where she comes from. I’m proud to endorse her for the State Assembly because I know she’ll fight for Selma and every town in District 31.”
Perea thanked Councilmember Trujillo for his endorsement and for his continued advocacy for Selma residents. “Councilmember Trujillo is a committed public servant who deeply understands the needs of working families in Selma,” said Perea. “I’m honored to have his support, and I look forward to working alongside him to expand opportunity, improve public safety, and uplift every community in our district.”
During her time on the Fresno City Council, Perea has focused on delivering tangible improvements to neighborhoods across the city, prioritizing infrastructure upgrades, job creation, and community safety. As Council President, she played a central role in moving forward critical projects without burdening local taxpayers.
Born and raised in the Central Valley, Perea is the proud daughter and granddaughter of Mexican American farmworkers and railroad workers. Her campaign is grounded in her lived experience and a deep commitment to ensuring that every family in the Valley has access to opportunity, stability, and a better future.
