California’s 38,000 Professional Firefighters Back Annalisa Perea for State Assembly

Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea's District 31 campaign continues to build momentum with the latest endorsement coming from the California Professional Firefighters (CPF).

“Councilmember Annalisa Perea has demonstrated time and again that she stands with the men and women who run toward danger so others can get to safety,” said Brian K. Rice, CPF President. “As our members respond to wildfires, medical emergencies, and disasters, they need champions in the legislature who will fight for the resources and support our emergency responders deserve. Perea is one of those champions.”

CPF's endorsement strengthens the growing coalition of labor and public safety organizations standing behind Perea's for Assembly District 31, joining PORAC, and the Fresno, Selma, and Sanger Police Officers Associations in supporting a candidate who has proven she will fight for first responders and the communities they protect.

“Our firefighters sacrifice every day to keep our families safe so I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of California Professional Firefighters,” said Perea. “ I will continue supporting their commitment to safety in our communities in the Central Valley.”

Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has secured millions in public safety funding to hire more firefighters, led efforts to expand affordable housing and cut homelessness. A certified city planner, Perea brings a proven record of commitment to public safety, ensuring every family has the protection, resources, and emergency services they deserve.
