Valley union backs Perea’s campaign, citing her trust, accessibility, and commitment to working families.
FRESNO, CA – Iron Workers Local 155, one of the Central Valley’s most respected labor unions, officially endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea for State Assembly District 31. The endorsement adds to the growing coalition of labor leaders and working families backing Perea’s campaign to bring effective, community-first leadership to Sacramento.
Perea, the proud granddaughter of a cannery worker, has long emphasized her roots in the labor movement and her commitment to economic opportunity for working families across the Central Valley. “I’m deeply honored to have the support of Iron Workers Local 155,” said Councilmember Annalisa Perea. “Their members help build the backbone of our region and I’ll always stand with them. In the Assembly, I’ll fight to protect union jobs, improve workplace safety, and expand training programs that give our communities real opportunity.”
Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council and was unanimously elected Council President in 2024. In that role, she secured millions in public safety funding, and has led efforts to expand affordable housing. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, she brings both technical expertise and deep community engagement to her work.
A lifelong Central Valley resident, Perea’s campaign continues to resonate with working-class voters who want a leader rooted in the region and ready to deliver results.
