Annalisa Perea launches Assembly campaign as the clear frontrunner, bolstered by a broad base of community support and more than a 2x fundraising advantage
Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea has raised over $300,000 since kicking off her campaign for State Assembly District 31 in March. Perea’s total contributions are more than double the combined fundraising of the other candidates and her cash-on-hand is more than two and a half times that of her nearest competitor. The early fundraising success demonstrates broad community backing and gives Perea a strong financial advantage heading into the next phase of the campaign.
Perea, who has built a reputation for accessibility and results-driven leadership, credited the community for fueling the campaign’s early momentum. “I’m so grateful and humbled by the overwhelming support from so many in our community,” said Councilmember Annalisa Perea. “There is still a lot of work ahead, but I’m proud of the energy we’re seeing and focused on meeting voters in their neighborhoods and listening to what matters to them.”
Councilmember Annalisa Perea’s campaign continues to gain momentum with strong support from respected leaders and organizations across the region. She’s proudly endorsed by the Police Officer Associations in Fresno, Selma, and Sanger, State Senator Anna Caballero, State Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer, and several worker unions and local leaders who trust her to deliver for the Central Valley.
Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she was unanimously elected Council President in 2024. In that role, she secured millions in public safety funding and expanded affordable housing. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, she brings deep local knowledge and practical leadership experience to the campaign.
A lifelong Central Valley resident, Perea’s campaign continues to draw support from working families, community leaders, and everyday voters ready for a fresh, effective voice in the Assembly.
