Statewide Latina leadership organization backs Councilmember Perea in District 31 race

First-of-its-Kind Statewide Latina Organization throws significant support behind Central Valley Councilmember Perea.

Latinas Lead CA, California's first political action committee focused on electing Latinas to office, has officially endorsed Fresno native and Councilmember Annalisa Perea for Assembly District 31. 

The influential organization, operating for more than a decade, cited her proven commitment to advancing Latina leadership and championing critical issues for working families, including equal pay, reproductive rights, and a sustainable environment, as central to their decision.

Their endorsements reflect a rigorous vetting process centered on electoral viability, community accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to issues impacting the Latina community, including equal pay, reproductive rights, and a sustainable environment.

Their support joins a growing coalition behind Perea's campaign, alongside the Fresno County Democratic Women's Club, National Women's Political Caucus, Democratic Legislative Women's Caucus, and Central Valley Latino Dems Club.

"I am honored to have the support of Latinas Lead CA," said AD-31 Candidate Annalisa Perea. “Their mission to uplift Latina leadership and champion critical issues like equal pay and reproductive rights is a mission I am proud to carry forward in District 31."

Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand access to doula services for women and strengthened workforce development programs for women. A certified city planner and new mother, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and a fair chance at thriving in each individual’s community.
