200,000+ care workers and providers back Councilmember Perea’s District 31 campaign showcasing momentum and large union support.
United Domestic Workers (UDW/AFSCME Local 3930), one of California’s largest unions, has officially endorsed Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea's District 31 campaign.
“The working people of United Domestic Workers UDW/AFSCME 3930 are excited to endorse Annalisa Perea for Assembly. As a Fresno City Councilmember, Annalisa has stood strong with workers and focused on delivering real results for families trying to make ends meet. As a working mother herself, she understands the daily reality our members face, and that understanding drives everything she does. The Central Valley needs her voice in Sacramento,” said UDW/AFSCME Local 3930.
The UDW/AFSCME Local 3930 is a powerhouse union of more than 200,000-plus home care and child care providers. Their majority-women and majority-minority membership reflects the heart of California's working families.
“I am deeply honored to have the support of UDW and the 200,000 workers they represent,” said Perea. “The people who care for our children, our seniors and our most vulnerable deserve more than gratitude, and I will continue championing labor unions and the working families in the Central Valley.”
UDW/AFSCME Local 3930 joins a strong coalition of labor unions in support of Perea’s campaign such as Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Iron Workers 155, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades: District Council 16 and more.
Annalisa Perea currently serves on the Fresno City Council, where she has led efforts to expand affordable housing, invest in public safety, and strengthen workforce development programs. A certified city planner and former community college trustee, Perea carries forward a lifelong belief in education, equity, and opportunity for every family.
