Fresno City Councilmember earns support of one of the most respected Latino political organizations in California.
FRESNO, CA – Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea has earned the endorsement of the California Latino Legislative Caucus for State Assembly District 31, strengthening the growing coalition of legislative leaders backing her campaign.
Founded in 1973, the California Latino Legislative Caucus has served as a forum for members of the State Senate and Assembly to focus on key issues affecting Latinos and community empowerment throughout California. The endorsement reflects confidence in Perea’s leadership as a Latina voice rooted in the Central Valley, and recognition of her commitment to expanding opportunity and ensuring Latino families are fully represented in the decisions that shape their communities.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the California Latino Legislative Caucus,” said Perea. “As a daughter of this community, I look forward to working closely with them to ensure strong representation for my district and Californians in the state legislature.”
A lifelong resident of the Central Valley, Perea was unanimously elected President of the Fresno City Council in 2024, having previously served as a council member. Her work includes expanding affordable housing, advocating for equity in city contracting, and funding programs that support mental health and inclusive services for marginalized communities.
