Labor Leaders Endorse Annalisa Perea for State Assembly

International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 16 highlights Perea’s commitment to working families and community investment.

Councilmember Annalisa Perea is proud to announce the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 16 has endorsed her candidacy for Assembly District 31. “I’m honored to have the support of working men and women of IUPAT DC 16,” Perea said. “Working people are the backbone of the Central Valley and I’m grateful to have earned their trust,” she continued.

DC16 represents professional finishers, including painters, drywall finishers, glaziers, floor coverers, specialty craft workers and many other careers in the construction and public sectors. The union is committed to fighting for the best interests of its members through collective bargaining, safety and training programs, legislative representation, and community partnerships.

Annalisa Perea, a Fresno City Councilmember with a background in urban planning, has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development and public service. She has secured millions in public safety funding, reduced violent crime through community-based policing, and expanded affordable housing. Perea is running for State Assembly to continue advocating for working families, equitable economic opportunity, and strong communities across the Central Valley.

Perea stated, “This support reflects the values I share with hardworking Central Valley residents across our region: the importance of good jobs, safe neighborhoods, and opportunities for everyone to thrive. I look forward to fighting in Sacramento for policies that strengthen our communities and support the skilled workers who keep our economy moving.”
