Annalisa Perea Raises over $425,000, Holds Dominate Cash-on-hand

Early fundraising strength reflects broad support from labor, business, education, and community leaders across the Central Valley

Fresno City Councilmember Annalisa Perea announced today that her campaign for Assembly District 31 has raised over $425,000 in its first fundraising report of 2026, outraising her closest opponent by more than 3-to-1, and holding a cash-on-hand advantage at nearly the same ratio. The strong showing underscores overwhelming early support for Perea’s campaign and positions her as the clear frontrunner heading into the 2026 election.

The report reflects broad-based backing from working families, labor organizations, small businesses, educators, and community leaders throughout the Central Valley, a coalition that mirrors Perea’s record of delivering results and building consensus across sectors.

“This kind of support tells me people are ready for leadership that understands how policy decisions impact real families,” said Perea. “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has invested in this campaign and in a vision for a more affordable, equitable, and thriving Central Valley.”

Perea’s fundraising momentum builds on a wave of high-profile endorsements from across the labor, commerce, and education communities, including SEIU California, California Teachers Association and numerous other organizations representing frontline workers, caregivers, educators, and local economies. Supporters point to her proven track record on the Fresno City Council, where she has consistently championed working families, housing affordability, workforce development, and responsible economic growth.

Elected to the Fresno City Council in 2022 and serving as Council President in her first two years, Perea is a lifelong Central Valley resident and certified city planner with deep roots in the district. Her campaign continues to gain momentum as voters respond to her pragmatic leadership style, coalition-building approach, and commitment to delivering solutions that work for families across Assembly District 31.
